Wow! Wild, Wise Words Written By Hosea

“When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him . . .”

“There is no faithfulness, no love, no acknowledgment of God in the land.  There is only cursing, lying and murder, stealing and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.”

“A people without understanding will come to ruin.”

“Their rulers dearly love shameful ways.”

“I (God) wrote for them many things of My law, but they regarded them as something alien.”

“Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired man a maniac.”

“They became as vile as the thing they loved.”

“Their heart is deceitful.”

“Sow for yourselves right living, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes and showers righteousness on you.”

“When I (God) fed them they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot Me.”

“He is a child without wisdom; when the time arrives he does not come to the opening of the womb.”

“Your sins have become your downfall.”

These quotations are from the NIV version of the book of Hosea.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
