Are Americans morality-phobic? Is morality-phobia widespread in our land? Here are a few questions:
Are Americans so afraid of honesty that they feel the need to tell little (and sometimes big) lies?
Are they so frightened of not having enough that they will cheat to get ahead?
Are they so afraid of reality that they seek to alter their consciousness with drugs and/or alcohol?
Are they scared of being inconvenienced to the point that they will pay someone to destroy the innocent human life that they have produced in the womb?
Are Americans so afraid of not getting what they want that they will take things that don’t belong to them?
Are they so terrified of sexual purity that they will do their best to keep any mention or portrayal of it out of popular movies, television, radio, and other media?
Are Americans so scared of uplifting, wholesome, encouraging entertainment that they will regularly watch and/or attend displays of vulgarity and indecency?
Or is morality-phobia just a myth?
My 83+ years of life in the USA has taught me that there is very little change in our society; people are always in search of a leader and quite often, allow their prejudices to stand in the way of their common sense. For example, we serve – we say, the Lord Jesus Christ and we believe, we say, in the Bible. But when the men of old tried to build a “stairway” to heaven (see Babel), God dispersed them, altered their language so that everyone had to start anew. That will always be what happens when we decide to become the majority voice in our nation. We face – what ought to be. reality. We are not the Creation, we are the creation. So, once we have aligned ourselves with others of a common belief, we need only to align ourselves with a common objective and do good works so that others will see them and either join in or – using what they have learned from us, begin to work on a better way. That’s OK, too.
