“Hot. Cool. Yours.” Sochi’s Silly Olympic Slogan — What Does It Mean?

“Hot. Cool. Yours.” (It’s not just a silly slogan for the Sochi Olympics.)
* “Hot.” — Heat up God’s fire in your heart and spread it everywhere until you become an ever-burning, flaming torch for God.
* “Cool.” — Cool down your wrongful and/or self-destructive desires, behaviors, & attitudes, until you freeze them completely out of your life.
* “Yours.” — Continually tell God, “I’m Yours,” consistently living a lifestyle of surrender to Him and service to others.
(Consistently living by “Hot. Cool. Yours.” takes as much courage and training as the most dangerous Olympic events! Are you brave enough to do it?)

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
