Beyond Audience-Style Religion

Go beyond audience-style religion
And enter the inspiring reality of
Ordinary people sharing from the heart
As prompted by the Holy Spirit.

It’s amazing how God continually confirms the open sharing and participation format at Berry Street! Last Sunday morning a man who can’t read brought me this book, “The Celtic Way of Evangelism.”
–As I looked through it, I came across these words that also describe what we do at Berry Street: “A distinctively Celtic approach to ‘doing church’ and living the Christian life emerged . . . more of a movement than a institution, a movement featuring laity in ministry more than clergy.”
–Also: “Through the community’s life, you observed and gained experience in ministry . . . you engage in conversation, ministry, prayer, and worship.”
–Come see this in action every Sunday morning at 10:45, 225 Berry Street, Nashville, 37207.

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
