Overcoming Your Inner Terrorism

–My Spiritual Warfare Poem: Overcoming Your Inner Terrorism–
Throw out your inner foes.
Never settle for or surrender to
Their tormenting inner flows,
Their torturous status quo.
You can’t “Just say no.”
You’ve got to make
Your inner enemies go
With your spiritual ammo —
Continually fighting within,
Like a commando,
Or a charging rhino
Until you know
You’ve dumped
Their agonizing cargo.
we wrestle not against flesh and blood
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. Therefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” –Ephesians 6:12-13 (NKJV)
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” –2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NKJV)

About Steve Simms

I like to look and think outside the box. In college I encountered Jesus Christ and I have been passionate about trying to get to know Him better ever since. My wife and I co-lead a non-traditional expression of the body of Christ in Nashville based on open participation and Spirit-led sharing. We long to see the power and passion of the first Christ-followers come to life in our time. I have written a book about our experiences called, "Beyond Church: An Invitation To Experience The Lost Word Of The Bible--Ekklesia" that is available in Kindle & paperback @ http://amzn.to/2nCr5dP
